Report of the Global Cannabis Commission

The 2008 Report of the Global Cannabis Commission formed the basis for the book Cannabis Policy: Moving Beyond Stalemate, which was jointly published with Oxford University Press on the 25th of January 2010.

The report summarises the conclusions and recommendations of the Global Cannabis Commission.

"Despite cannabis being the most widely used illegal drug, and therefore the mainstay of the War on Drugs, it has only ever held a relatively marginal position in international drug policy discussions.

In recognition of this, I decided to convene a team of the world’s leading drug policy analysts to prepare an overview of the latest scientific evidence surrounding cannabis and the policies that control its use."
